What’s for dinner? UXUA’s restaurants take advantage of airy poolside or beachfront locations to serve organically-sourced Bahian fusion cuisine. A key ingredient is local fish, caught each morning using traditional methods which have endured centuries. Local produce is sourced daily to create the freshest and most flavorful dishes. Baked goods include delightful traditional bread and desert recipes which feature on the enormous breakfast buffet. UXUA’s chefs reinterpret standard Bahian cuisine with an emphasis on creating meals that are light and healthy, adding new flavors from other regions of Brazil, or other parts of the world, which give the UXUA menu its fusion quality.
UXUA’s bartenders specialize in preparing an fresh, healthy tropical drinks and wildly more indulgent tropical cocktails. UXUA’s wine list proposes a broad selection of international wines, including South American, Italian, French, and South African vintages.
HOME COOKING
With most UXUA Casas having full kitchens, guests can cook for themselves or allow UXUA’s staff to arrange the visit of a top local chef to come and share their magic.
EATING FROM UXUA’S GARDENS
The wondrous UXUA garden grows just behind the famed Quadrado and appears as nothing less than a modern-day Eden surrounding the UXUA Casas. The garden provides not only tropical flowers and privacy but also fruits and spices used in the UXUA kitchens. The towering trees include palms, coconut and jackfruit - often destined for the bar drinks of UXUA guests - as well as gameleira, bananas, mangos, blackberries, surinam cherries, jaca, and even cocoa which are utilized by UXUA’s chefs.
