A new hospitality project in the south of the Brazilian state of Bahia has re launched Trancoso as a hip destiny. It is the big sensation of the moment in the other side of the Atlantic.

Although other places in the Bahian coast as Itacaré are on the spot now, the tourism magazines didn’t take long to find out that Trancoso got a new breathing with the inauguration of UXUA. Idealized by the Creative Director of the Italian brand Diesel, this house-hotel, which arises on the margins of big hotel nets, has all the ingredients to claim attention. In a very privileged location in a 5.5 thousand square meters area, in the São João square – known as Quadrado (Historic National Heritage) – UXUA has gotten an open architecture, to absorve all the green that surrounds it, being at the same time, rustic and extremely fine in all the details.

The final result was only reached due to the contribution of local workers and builders, who mixed organic and recycled materials with old building techniques, giving the hotel a unique personality. It has a total of 14 suites, distributed in one/two/three bedrooms houses (there is even a tree house!), projected and decorated to assure a stripped luxury, where pats as king size beds and outdoor showers are not missed! The common areas of UXUA are composed by a bar and lounge, kitchen and a mini-spa and a green quartz (which healing powers are attributed to) swimming pool.
