800 miles to the south of Bahia (Brazil) is Trancoso where has been inaugurated the Uxua Casa Hotel, a resort designed and owned by Dutchman Wilbert Das, the Creative Director of Diesel. Nine colored houses (which light up your mood) build with recycled wood from old farms of the country-side near to town, a pool created from 40.000 stones of “Aventurine”, an ultra-green local quartz, interiors decorated with rugs, chairs, tables, but also with statues and antiques, items procured from local craftsmen and artists from Bahia. Showers are cut into trees trunks, the peace is absolute.
