Visitors seeking a warm and balmy tropical paradise aren’t disappointed in Trancoso. The average daily temperature year-round is 27ºC (81ºF), making Trancoso and the rest of Bahia perfect travel destinations for every season.
The Brazilian summer runs January thru April, and temperatures peak at 30ºC (86ºF) in March, the warmest month. During this period refreshing breezes blow in off the sea and abundant vegetation reduce notably the sensation of a seasonal peak in temperature. During the winter in Trancoso bright daily sunshine can be abundant, and the night-time low temperature during the coldest month remains above 19ºC (68ºF).
The spectacular local beaches (eight in total) enjoy not only pristine sands but also warm seas in every season, with water temperature ranging from 73,4°F to 79°F (23°C to 26°C) during the Brazilian winter, and reaching a high of 82,4°F (28°C) at the peak of summer.
There are no tropical storms or hurricanes in the zone, and the atmospheric conditions are perfect for sustaining the historic Atlantic rainforest and marshes, still growing and protected along stretches of the coast in this area.
